Pork Pre-Sale – Whole or Half Hog

Description:

Reserve your share of our pasture-raised pork and fill your freezer with nutrient-dense, incredible-tasting meat raised right here at Eremos Farm.

This option is the most cost-effective way to purchase pork and ensures you receive a balanced, nose-to-tail selection of cuts.

How it works:
• You reserve your animal with a deposit
• Final price is based on hanging weight ($7.50/lb)
• Processing is paid directly to the butcher at pickup (by customer).

Hogs are taken to the processor in the fall- meat will be cut and available generally within 4 business days of being dropped off.

What you receive:
You will get the custom cuts based on the cut sheet that you request.

Meat Estimates: :

Whole hog- 120-140 pounds of meat

Half Hog- 50-70 pounds of meat

Bacon Processing: If you would like bacon, we partner with a premium processor who specializes in bacon curing and smoking.
Bacon processing is only available with Whole Hog orders.

** We have recipes for bacon processing if you want to try it yourself with the pork belly at home. It’s not as hard as you think!

** Hogs are started in Spring and fed through the fall- Processing is completed in October/November.
