Before You Visit Our Farm
A Few Important Notes So Everyone Has a Good Experience
We’re honored you want to visit our farm. We love sharing what we do, and we believe transparency matters.
At the same time, this is a working farm, not a park — and these guidelines help protect the land, the animals, and the people who live and work here.
Please read through these notes before your visit.
1. This Is a Working Farm — Not a Petting Zoo
Our animals are not props or entertainment. They are living beings with routines, boundaries, and responsibilities.
Please do not enter pens or pastures unless invited
Do not chase, corner, or attempt to touch animals
Calm observation is always welcome; interaction is guided and intentional
Healthy animals are calm animals — and calm animals are treated with respect.
2. Children Are Welcome — Supervision Is Required
We love having families here. We also ask that children remain within arm’s reach of their adults at all times.
Farm equipment, fencing, and animals can be unpredictable
Please no running, climbing, or loud behavior near livestock
Teach children to ask before touching anything
This isn’t about restriction — it’s about safety and stewardship.
3. Closed Gates Stay Closed (Open Gates Only When Directed)
Every gate serves a purpose.
A closed gate protects animals, land rotation, and grazing plans
Please never open or close a gate unless we ask you to
If you’re unsure — ask
One open gate can undo months of careful planning.
4. Please Leave Your Dogs at Home
As much as we love dogs, visiting dogs can cause stress, injury, or livestock loss.
Guardian animals are working
Livestock interpret unfamiliar dogs as predators
Even well-trained pets create risk
For everyone’s safety, no outside dogs are permitted on the farm.
5. No Feeding Animals — Ever
Our animals follow specific nutrition plans tied directly to their health and the land.
No treats
No scraps
No “just a little something”
What seems harmless can disrupt digestion, behavior, or grazing balance.
6. Expect Dirt, Weather, and Real Life
This is not a manicured experience — and that’s intentional.
Wear boots or shoes you don’t mind getting dirty
Dress for the weather
Expect uneven ground, bugs, and mud at times
If you leave cleaner than you arrived, we probably didn’t do our job right.
7. Photos Are Welcome — Please Ask Before Filming People
We love sharing education and stories.
Feel free to take photos of the land and animals
Please ask before photographing or filming people
Commercial or promotional filming requires prior approval
Presence matters more than content.
8. Visits Are Scheduled — Not Drop-In
Because we value both hospitality and stewardship:
All visits must be scheduled in advance
Unplanned drop-ins may not be accommodated
This allows us to prepare and protect the farm’s rhythm
Slowing down is part of the lesson.
9. Come Curious — Not Combative
We welcome honest questions. We don’t argue or debate on the land.
Ask with curiosity
Listen before judging
Understand that our methods are intentional, even when different
You don’t have to agree with everything — but respect is required.
10. Leave With More Than You Came With
Our hope is that every visitor leaves with:
A deeper respect for food and land
A clearer understanding of regenerative farming
A sense that local solutions really do matter
If that happens, the visit was worth it.
Final Note
We believe stewardship is a responsibility, not a trend.
Thank you for helping us care well for what’s been entrusted to us.
